Boss on the start of an away run...

THERE are some big games on the road coming up, starting with Saturday's trip to Fleetwood Town.

Whilst Tuesday's performance in our FA Cup first round replay defeat at Shrewsbury was disappointing, we must not lose sight of the fact that our displays have been very good over the past month or so. You have to look at the bigger picture and where we're at right now.

Tuesday's game was a scrappy affair with neither side playing well on a difficult surface. It was a disappointing evening for us where we fell below the standards we have set ourselves.

The opportunity is there to bounce back in the right way against a Fleetwood Town side who have adapted well to life at the higher level following promotion at the end of last term.

Whilst there is no denying the fact that they have been well funded, they have done well over the years because its tough to keep getting better each season as they have done for some time now.

They are a side who like to play football on a decent surface; I always felt that they would be one of the threats in the upper reaches of the table this season, so we are looking forward to the challenge that stands before us.

We were excellent in our last League game against Peterborough and were the better team by a long way. The chances were there and we need to take responsibility to put the ball in the net.

It looks as though we will be without Tom Bradshaw once more, although we are hopeful of having him back for the next game, whilst Sam Mantom will be assessed in the build-up to the game after being laid low with a sore knee over the past week or so.

We have appealled against the red card for Adam Chambers in our last game and will find out the verdict on Thursday evening.
