'Keeper looking to kick-on...
GOALKEEPER, Richard O’Donnell, pulled off a couple of important saves at crucial times to help The Saddlers bring home three points from Meadow Lane.
“The most important thing was that we got back-to-back wins,” he said. “We knew that if we came here and played the way we can, we would give them a good game.
“We’ve put in a lot of good performances on the road where we haven’t got the points to show for our efforts, but we deserved this victory.
“It’s nice to get the three points from a side who hadn’t been beaten since August. We went into the game with plenty of belief; we gave them respect, of course, but we know what we are capable of and we’ve always been confident in our ability.
“This is a big win for us and we will kick on from here now.
“From a personal point of view it is nice to contribute to wins and I was pleased with a couple of the saves I made. There was the free-kick right at the end and the save just on half-time because going in trailing at the break would have been harsh on us.
“The lads have stuck together and now we look forward to two Cup games coming up.”
