Sawyers on our away day success at Fleetwood...
THE SADDLERS’ winning goal at Fleetwood came from the boot of Romaine Sawyers who put in a lively display.
“It was nice to see it go in,” he said. “We were determined to end their unbeaten home record and grafted from the first whistle to the last.
“Everyone played their part out there to help us bring home the three points. It was a real team effort.
“It’s encouraging to see us getting into the right positions and creating chances; we know that if we continue to do that, the goals will follow.
“It’s always nice to get my name on the scoresheet; my aim at the start of the season was to better last season’s total and I’m only three goals away from equalling that now.
“We’ve always had the belief and now we’re getting the results to go with our performances and kicking on up the table.
“The next challenge is Coventry and we will go there with no fear. It’s a local derby and we’re really looking forward to it.”
