Saddlers to mark Anniversary... Win Club Legends Cup tickets!
OUR NEW-look Matchday Programme for the 2014/15 season will celebrate the 20th Anniversary of our 1994/95 promotion-winning campaign under Chris Nicholl.It was a seminal moment in our recent past and it proved to be the catalyst for what was to become the most successful period in the club's history.
There were some great characters in the side back then and some fantastic stories. We want you to share your own memories and photographs with us for possible inclusion in the feature that will run throughout the season. We will also be getting the thoughts of the players and staff that were involved two decades ago.
As a special treat, we’ve got three pairs of tickets up for grabs to the Club Legends Cup tournament at the LG Arena in Birmingham on Saturday, July 12th if you can name all 11 players in this 1994/95 team group picture.
No, it’s not Inter Milan; this is The Saddlers in our away kit for that season!
Send the names of all 11 players along with your name, age, postal and email address plus a contact number to a.poole@walsallfc.co.uk to be entered in a draw to win the tickets. The competition closes on Sunday, May 25th 2014.
The Club Legends Cup will see a team of Saddlers’ stars from the past, including Jorge Leitao, Pedro Matias and Zigor Aranalde, plus supporters take on the likes of Aston Villa, Birmingham City, West Bromwich Albion and Wolves in aid of Cure Leukaemia.
Ray Graydon will be in charge of the Walsall team for this eagerly-anticipated event.

A TEAM of Walsall FC Legends will be going head-to-head with Aston Villa, Wolves, Birmingham City, Coventry City, West Bromwich Albion, a Rest of the World team and a media team in the Club Legends Cup tournament at Birmingham’s LG Arena on Saturday, 12th July 2014.
