TEAM TALK v LEYTON ORIENT, 22/3/2014

20 March 2014

Boss up against former club...

LOOKING back at our game against Rotherham United last weekend, we were obviously disappointed with the late goal that we conceded and the red card.

It was a game that we felt that we should have got three points, but in terms of the performance it was a step forward and back to where we want to be.

We displayed commitment, application and played at a good tempo, exactly what we are all about.

The players are right at it and will take plenty of confidence from that performance as we prepare to face a Leyton Orient side who will be smarting from their home defeat at the hands of Brentford in their last game.

There is still a long way to go and plenty of points still to play for. Things can all change in one weekend, such is the nature of this League.

Leyton Orient have been winning games all season, so they know how to win. We've already had two good games against them this season and we know that we can compete with them.

It's about concentrating on what we do and making sure that we do the right things. Our opponents have had a fantastic season and have stayed up there throughout, They have the firepower that can propel them to victories, but we have showed what we are capable of on a number of occasions this term and have the belief in our ability.

The games are coming thick and fast and we need everyone pulling in the same direction to help us get to where we want to be. The backing that we have received this season has been superb and it's a real boost to know that we will have an extra 1,500 youngsters and their parents at Saturday's game as part of our Community Day.

Hopefully our fans will be in good voice and play their part in a winning result.
