Youth team have to settle for a share of the spoils...

THE SADDLERS' youth team were frustrated by a well-organised Accrington Stanley side as we shared the spoils in a goalless draw.

"We started the game with plenty of good possession in deeper areas of the pitch," said Academy Manager, Neil Woods. "But our opponents were very well-organised and we struggled to break them down.

"We had more control of the game during the second half but we lacked that bit of creativity both as a team and as individuals and, as a result, scoring opportunities were few and far between.

"It is something that we have struggled with throughout the season against those teams who don't necessarily come to attack us.

"We know that we have to work on being able to break teams down."
