Boss beams as we return to winning ways...

SADDLERS’ boss, Dean Smith, was a happy man after seeing his side get back into winning ways with victory at Bradford City.

“It was a deserved win,” he said with a smile. “We played some good stuff; we kept the ball well and frustrated our hosts.

“It was nice to see Craig Westcarr back on the scoresheet with a couple of well-worked goals.

“I thought that we were excellent without the ball tonight and restricted them to just a few opportunities.

“We defended well as a team and the lads can be proud of their efforts and the shift that they put in.

“I said at half-time that we needed to remain patient and keep doing what we were doing and the chances would come.

“We knew that we had to be at our best because they have some good players. It’s been frustrating waiting for this win; our performance levels have remained high and we were able to continue where we left off at the weekend.

“This League changes after every round of games and so we’ll keep going and keep believing.”
