SMITH ON DRAW

Boss reflects on draw with The O's...

SADDLERS' boss, Dean Smith, has reflected on our 1-1 home draw with Leyton Orient as the visitors snatched a late equaliser with a deflected goal.

"We played some really good football in the first half and deserved to be two or three goals up," he said. "We didn't play as well as we can after the break but we still deserved to win the game.

"It's another deflected goal that has denied us; we're disappointed and frustrated but at the end of the day we have come up against a team who are pushing for automatic promotion and we were the better side.

"I thought that Paul Downing looked refreshed and slotted well back into the team. He certainly deserved his goal.

"Every week the League table changes. We're a point closer to the play-offs than we were this morning and we know that we have to keep working hard and continue to believe.

"We have a tough game at Bradford coming up on Tuesday now and we will focus on that. We're three games unbeaten and although they have all been draws, we should have won each of them."
