BUTLER BURSTING WITH BELIEF

14 March 2014

Skipper shows his determination...

SKIPPER, Andy Butler, is hoping that we can take our positive ending to our last game into Saturday's trip to Rotherham United.

Having snatched a late leveller against Crewe Alexandra thanks to an own goal, we now face a Millers' side who have done well this term on the back of their promotion at the end of last season.

"Tuesday's point could prove to be an important one," he said. "We passed the ball a lot without really threatening. That said, after the equaliser we could have won it in stoppage time.

"It was a positive finish to the game and now we will be looking to take that into Saturday's game at Rotherham.

"We go there knowing that we are still playing well without getting the results to show for it. Decisions have gone against us in recent matches, but if we keep doing what we are doing and working hard, then hopefully we'll start to get that bit of good fortune that has been lacking.

"Our confidence has not been shaken that much. We still believe in ourselves and have a determination to start getting the results and build up a run of form.

"There is healthy competition in every position and that is key. No-one can sit back and rest on their laurels.

"Looking towards Rotherham and we know that they are a strong and physical team. It's a challenge that we are looking forward to.

"I expect them to come at us and hopefully we can take advantage of that. It will be a big boost to have Sam Mantom available to us again after suspension. He's been a driving force this season and is a big player for us.

"At this stage of the season we need everyone to keep believing and not get frustrated."
