THEY WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN

Remembering the huge sacrifices made 70 years ago today...

ON THIS the 70th Anniversary of D-Day, Walsall FC joins the rest of the country, and indeed the World, in remembering the huge sacrifices made by thousands of troops who were lost during the Normandy landings.

On D-Day itself, June 6th 1944, 83,115 British soldiers landed in Normandy, including 24,000 on Gold Beach, 28,000 on Sword Beach and 7,900 by air.

It was an attack that changed the World and was a game-changer in World War II.

A total of 4,413 Allied soldiers were killed, around a quarter of them British. They will never be forgotten.

Service men and women are able to gain free admission to Saddlers’ home League games here at Banks’s Stadium on production of valid ID at the Ticket Office as we support our troops.

We are trying to get hold of D Day veteran and Saddlers' supporter, Ron Davies. Please email a.poole@walsallfc.co.uk if you know him.
