SADDLERS Player plays a major role within Walsall FC’s Official Website – www.saddlers.co.uk.It is a subscription-based service offering exclusive TV news bulletins, match highlights and online commentaries from EVERY Walsall FC first-team fixture.
We are seeking a Commentator to drive the service forward and provide expert analysis on every Walsall FC first-team fixture.
Working alongside Club Legend and Co-Commentator, Mick Kearns, you will be tasked with commentating on WFC fixtures, interacting with listeners via our matchday text-messaging service and interviewing the manager and players afterwards.
For home games, you’ll also interview a former or current player in the Stadium Suite as part of the pre-match build-up before making your way to the Press Box to undertake your commentary duties.
Previous broadcast experience and a background in broadcast journalism is essential as is your availability to attend ALL Walsall FC first-team fixtures (home and away).
This is a job-share, meaning the successful applicant will cover 50% of WFC’s fixtures.
In exchange, we’ll give you the opportunity to cover a professional football club and broaden your broadcasting experience. This is a paid position with a flat fee, per game, offered.
