Youngsters all set for the start of the new season...
THE SADDLERS’ youth team have been working hard in preparation for the start of their new Football League Youth Alliance season, which commences on August 2nd.Academy Manager, Neil Woods, has been pleased with the progress that his young charges have made during what has been a demanding few weeks.
“I’m very pleased with the way things have gone,” said Woods. “We have worked the lads extremely hard, but their attitude has been good.
“We start the season a couple of weeks earlier than usual this year but we are where we need to be in terms of fitness and preparation and that is credit to the boys.
“We’ve played five games so far and the performances have improved in each fixture. The attitude and response has been first-class and we can’t wait for the season to get underway.”
The youth team face their final pre-season encounter on Saturday as we take on Cheltenham Town.
