Young 'keeper heads to local non-League outfit...

HAVING re-joined the club on a one-year deal earlier this week, up-and-coming goalkeeper, Liam Roberts, has been allowed to join local non-League outfit, Rushall Olympic, on loan until January.

The 19 year-old is relishing the prospect of getting regular competitive football under his belt for the Dales Lane outfit.

"It's all about getting game time," said the youth team product. "I am looking forward to the challenge of establishing myself in the team and playing regularly in what is a tough, competitive League.

"This move is going to really help in my overall development and I know that the Gaffer will be keeping close tabs on me, so it's my chance to show him what I am capable of in match situations.

"Rushall have a new manager at the helm, and have brought in a number of new players over the summer, so it's an exciting time for them and hopefully I can play my part in a successful first half of the season.

"I would like to think that this move will be beneficial for all involved."
