DEVON DIARY: COOK FEELING THE BENEFITS

14 July 2014

Summer signing on a high-energy first day in Devon...

THE RETURNING Jordan Cook has certainly felt the benefits of our first day in Devon.

“It’s been a tough day, but extremely productive,” he said. “We had a really high tempo session during the morning, which involved some high-intensity work, which we needed after a couple of days off following Friday's game at Wigan.

“It was a really good session to build us up and this was followed by an afternoon gym session and a swim later in the day.

“This week away will be a great opportunity for me to bond with the lads. There are a few interesting activities planned for the rest of the week, including a trip to the beach on Thursday, I believe, so it’s going to be fun.

“I’ve managed to learn everyone’s name already and have been made to feel really welcome by the lads, so it’s been a pleasing start.

“I feel really refreshed and am really excited by the challenge here. I enjoyed my previous spell here on loan, but it’s a completely new team now and a new challenge.

“It’s nice to be back and hopefully I can get regular games under my belt and score some goals to make a contribution.”
