BOSS LOOKING FORWARD TO DEVON TRIP

14 July 2014

Smith on our week in Devon...

THE SADDLERS will spend this week in Devon as our pre-season programme steps up a pace.

We will be based at Exeter University, where we will take advantage of their excellent facilities whilst also facing games against Taunton Town on Wednesday, July 16th and Torquay United on Saturday, July 19th.

“It’s going to be a positive week where the whole group will be able to get together and interact,” said manager, Dean Smith. “There will be some intense training sessions alongside some fun team-bonding activities.

“We’ve drawn up a pretty comprehensive schedule for the lads, which will really stand us in good stead for the challenges that lie ahead.

“We’ll be taking advantage of the excellent facilities at our disposal; I’ve been there already to check them out and it’s going to be really beneficial to us.

“What’s more it will give the new lads the chance to bond with the rest of the group and further strengthen the superb team spirit that already exists here.

“Hopefully we’ll get some good weather; it’s not quite going to be as hot as Trinidad & Tobago, but we are going to a beautiful part of the country and we’re really looking forward to it.

“Pre-season training has gone well so far and it’s clear to see that there is a fantastic attitude and a real work ethic amongst the group.

“This trip will see us step up to the next level as we prepare for the start of the season.”

We'll be bringing you full coverage of the trip via our various media channels, so look out for that...
