Youth team come from behind to win at Rochdale...
TEH SADDLERS' youth team bounced back from a half-time deficit to run out 3-1 winners at Rochdale."Having only faced each other in the League last weekend, it was a difficult game psychologically for both teams," said Academy Manager, Neil Woods. "We looked well-organised early on as our hosts had a lot of possession in the opening exchanges.
"That said, chances were limited at either end before Rochdale took the lead following a corner right on the stroke of half-time.
"Our hosts had threatened from set-pieces throughout the first half and it was a big test for us at the break.
"I was very pleased with the way in which we approached the second half; we made a few changes but the football that we played was very good and back to the standards that we had set ourselves the previous week.
"We were able to get back onto level terms within five minutes of the restart as Alex Reid latched onto a flick-on from Amadou Bakayoko.
"As we started to take full control, two further goals followed from Bakayoko and a second from Reid as we extended our lead to take the points.
"The most pleasing aspect was the mental strength that we displayed to get back into the game and run out deserved winners."
