Brandy on first career hat-trick...

MAN OF the moment, Febian Brandy proudly clutched the matchball as he talked about his first-ever senior hat-trick in our 5-1 win at Notts County.

“It was a great team performance,” he said. “Obviously I am delighted to get a hat-trick, a perfect one at that with my right foot, left foot and a header.

“It’s my first senior hat-trick and was well worth the wait!

“We played some good football; they came at us a bit in the second half, but we were always in control and got a convincing win.

“The fans have supported me well since I have been back here and this hat-trick is to repay them for the backing that they have given me.

“The spirit at this club is fantastic. I still kept in touch with the lads after I left and it’s great to be back part of it again.

“When you are playing well, you want the games to come around and keep that momentum, so I am already looking forward to Tuesday evening.

“We have another job to do against Swindon but it’s nice to be in and around the play-off places.

“It’s where we are at the end of the season that counts, so hopefully we’ll keep adding to our points tally and I can keep scoring goals.”
