SMITH ON SWINDON

Boss reflects on draw...

SADDLERS' boss, Dean Smith, has reflected on our 1-1 draw with Swindon Town.

"After taking the lead, I am disappointed that we didn't go on and win the game," he said. "We started really well and at times we were terrific, the only thing missing was the end product.

"We deservedly went ahead against a good team with a well-worked goal and then had to be at our best, but some of the football that we played was fantastic and it was summed up by the goal.

"We gave ourselves a platform and, as I say, it was disappointing that we didn't go on to get all three points.

"That said, it extends our unbeaten run to seven matches and adds another point to our tally.

"I always felt that the only way they were going to score was from a set-piece and so it proved.

"We created chances and looked the most likely side, but Swindon are a team who will be up there challenging at the end of the season.

"We did all we could to win the game, but it just didn't happen on this occasion. We believe what we are doing is right and that we are a good team and now we move on to the next game."
