O'DONNELL THE HERO

Dramatic late penalty save for O'Donnell...

RICHARD O'Donnell was the hero on Tuesday evening as his last minute penalty save helped us secure all three points against Oldham Athletic.

"It was nice to save the penalty," he said. "But the most important thing was that we came out of the game with the three points.

"We know that it wasn't our best performance, but we've got the points in the bag and now we look to keep pushing forwards.

"As a goalkeeper it's always good to save penalties. The hard work is done behind-the-scenes in preparation as we study all opposition penalty takers and luckily on this occasion, I went the right way and was able to make the save.

"You can't ask any more than a clean sheet and three points. The incentive was there for us on Tuesday to get into the top six and now that we are in there, it's about strengthening our position."

Our next challenge comes in the form of a Brentford side who are undefeated in the League since October.

"It will be a tough test, but every game is tough in this League," he added. "They are flying at the moment but we're more concerned about what we do and we know that if we can reach the standards that we are capable of, we will be a good match for them."
