Walsall boxer gets Saddlers' support...

WALSALL light welterweight, Luke Paddock, warmed up for his Bronze Masters Title clash with Stoke’s Kevin Hanks by making an appearance at the Banks’s Stadium on Saturday.

The 22 year-old Bloxwich boxer watched The Saddlers share the spoils with Brentford before being introduced to the 5,295 crowd at half-time.

“It was great,” said Paddock. “The game was good too. Walsall are doing really well this season. They’re in and around the Play-Offs whilst Brentford are in the automatic places, so it was a massive game for both teams.

“Being a local lad, it’s great to have the local football club’s support.

“I squared up to Swifty for the photo. I was going to do a little bit of sparring with him but, as he’s a bird, he’s probably only a flyweight!”

Tickets to see Paddock in action are £30 and £60 Ringside. They are available from Walsall Town Hall Box Office on 0845-111 2900.
