CUTLER PRAISE FOR O'DONNELL

31 January 2014

Goalkeeping Coach on ever-present 'keeper...

GOALKEEPING coach, Neil Cutler, has heaped praise upon Richard O'Donnell.

Both men arrived at Banks's Stadium during the summer and whilst O'Donnell has gone on to firmly establish himself as first choice between the posts and an ever-present in the side, Cutler's fantastic work has been rewarded with a new two and-a-half year deal.

"Richard has been first-class," said Cutler without hesitation. "He has a willingness to learn and improve; he takes in information like a sponge and is getting better and better.

"His performances have been excellent so far and I am particularly pleased with how his decision-making has continued to improve.

"He's learning all of the time both on and off-the-field. I am also working on him as a person and he's becoming a big influence on the younger lads. He's turning into a leader and people listen to what he has to say.

"The relationship between the goalkeepers is fantastic. The work ethic and determination to develop means that they are going from strength-to-strength and that can only be a positive thing for the club."
