CHAMBERS FOCUSSED ON LATICS

14 January 2014

Midfield man determined to get back into winning ways tonight...

SADDLERS' midfielder, Adam Chambers, has admitted that our second half showing at Tranmere did not reach the standards that we have set ourselves, but expects us to react in the right way when we entertain Oldham Athletic this evening (kick-off 7.45pm).

"We controlled the game during the first half but were not at the races after the break," he said. "I'm not sure why this was the case; credit to our hosts because they stopped us playing, but we know that we have to be better than that.

"It was another great finish from Milan for our goal but then we conceded a sloppy goal, which we are disappointed about.

"Generally we were not up to our usual standards in the second half and as such we have to look at it as two points dropped.

"It's a case of dusting ourselves off and we go into tonight's game in a positive frame of mind, determined to get back into winning ways.

"With the games coming thick and fast, we can't dwell on things too much. We've got two good games coming up and we are looking forward to them.

"Oldham will come here and look to stop us playing; it was a difficult game at their place earlier in the season, but if we can do the things that we know we are capable of over the 90 minutes, then we will give ourselves every chance of being successful.

"It's all about finding that level of consistency. Last year we had a good second half of the season and there is no reason why we can't do that again this year."
