KEY ROLE FOR EVERYONE

25 February 2014

Sawyers looks ahead to a busy month of March...

ROMAINE Sawyers made a positive impact when he entered the action during the second half of Saturday's game against Crawley Town and has stressed the importance of the role that everyone has to play between now and the end of the season.

"It's about everyone supporting each other," he said. "We have a good squad here with players who can step into the team and do a job at any time.

"The key thing is to give your all when the chance comes and I would like to think that I did that on Saturday when I came on.

"There is a big month ahead for us with a lot of games and plenty of points to play for, so we need everyone firing and ready.

"It will be a test for us, but we will all stick together and I know that we will be coached and managed the right way to give us the best possible chance of being successful.

"The team spirit is excellent here and we have the characters who can stand up and help the younger lads through.

"Looking back at Saturday's game, it was disappointing to concede so early. We managed to bounce back from that only for the second goal to knock us back again.

"We continued to keep battling away and were able to get a goal back, but ran out of time in the end to get an equaliser.

"There is a good way and a bad way to lose matches and we went down trying to do things the right way.

"Yes, it was a disappointing result, but we are determined to bounce back with a winning result in our next game."
