BUTLER SHOWS SUPPORT

18 February 2014

Skipper praise for team-mates...

SKIPPER, Andy Butler, was present at London Road on Friday evening to cheer on his team-mates against Peterborough United.

It was the first game that Butler had missed this season but he was kicking and heading every ball as he watched on from the sidelines.

"It was a good game considering that it was played on a bog of a pitch and in high winds and driving rain," said Butler. "We tried to pass the ball as much as possible and created some decent chances, particularly in the first half.

"At the other end, we did well to keep them out because Peterborough are a free-scoring side on home soil.

"It was a real team effort with everyone playing their part with pure hard work, which is what we are all about.

"I thought that James Chambers did ever so well alongside Paul Downing and it gave us a solid base on which we were able to build."
