HAVING overcome the challenge of Tranmere Rovers following a dramatic penalty shoot-out victory on Tuesday evening, The Saddlers now sit a tantilising 180 minutes away from a first-ever appearance at Wembley Stadium!Before we can think of that, though, there is a tricky-looking two-legged Northern Area Final coming up against either Notts County or Preston North End. They do battle on December 16th for the right to take on The Saddlers.
The draw for the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Northern Area Final will see Walsall away in the first leg and here at Banks's Stadium for the second leg. The dates for both ties are yet to be confirmed.
