TEAM TALK v BRADFORD CITY, 16/8/14

Boss ready for Bantams...

WE'RE looking forward to getting into home action on Saturday with the visit of Bradford City.

They have started the season well with a couple of victories and we know only too well that it will be a tough battle for us. They have got a high calibre of player there, but we're ready for it.

Phil Parkinson has done a fantastic job; they've got threats all over the pitch, but it's about what we do and I believe that we have a squad of players here that are more than capable of dealing with it.

We've got players here who can open teams up; our performances have been okay so far. There have already been good elements of our play and whilst we know that there are areas of our game that need work, it has been a generally positive start.

This is an important stage of the season with games coming thick and fast, We have a squad that can deal with that and I am delighted with the competition for places that exists within this group.

If you want to be successful, you need that competition. Everyone wants to get off to a good start and hopefully we can get our first three points on the board in front of our own fans on Saturday.

The support that we received at Port Vale and then at Southend was fantastic and more of the same is required on Saturday.
