Boss on our goalless draw at Leyton Orient...

SADDLERS’ boss, Dean Smith, has reflected on our goalless draw at much-fancied Leyton Orient.

“It was a good performance at what is a tough place to come,” he said. “I was pleased with the overall display; the performance was an improvement on our last one.

“We had to withstand a bit of pressure in the opening 25 minutes or so, but we got into it after that and used the space well out there.

“It was good to see so many youngsters involved and playing their part. We did well with and without the ball and there were plenty of positives to come out of the game for us against a side who have invested heavily over the summer to add to what was already a strong squad.

“We look forward to Tuesday now and the opportunity to take on a Premier League team at home is one that we are looking forward to.

“We’ve put in some good performances already this season and there is certainly a lot for us to build upon.”
