-
THE FOLLOWING information will be useful to members of the press:

FIRST TEAM MATCHES AT THE BANKS’S STADIUM

How to apply:

1.1    All media accreditation requests for first team matches at the Banks’s Stadium must be submitted via the Football DataCo i-PBS booking system (www.football-dataco.com/index.htm) no later than 24 hours prior to the fixture.

1.2    All members of the media attending fixtures at the Banks’s Stadium will need to ensure they are registered with Football DataCo to attend matches with all organisations required to gain a login account from Football DataCo before they can use the system.

1.3    Every organisation wishing to attend a first team match must apply for their accreditation via the Football DataCo i-PBS booking system (www.football-dataco.com/index.htm) no later than 24 hours prior to the fixture.

1.4 Every member of the press must have an accredited matchday pass. Organisations must provide names of who is attending when applying for accreditation.

Collecting Your Ticket & Parking:

2.1 All members of the accredited press, unless otherwise notified, will have a space reserved on the Purple Zone Car Park.

2.2 All passes (press, photographers, gantry access etc) are available to collect from Main Reception.

Matchday – Pre-Match:

3.1 You are required to sign in on matchdays as part of Football League Regulations, this can be done at Main Reception upon collection of your passes. Here you will receive a press pack, which contains a complimentary matchday programme and useful information relating to the game at hand.

3.2 Complimentary tea and coffee is available from our Media Room, which is situated within the Players Tunnel Area and can be accessed by presenting your press pass to our stewards at the Players Tunnel Area. Sandwiches will be available at 1:30pm. As access to the Media Room and press box is via the Players Tunnel, members of the press are asked to arrive 30 minutes before kick-off. Those members of the press arriving after this time will collect their pass from Main Reception and enter the Stadium via Turnstiles 19-20 as the Players Tunnel cannot be accessed 30 minutes from kick-off.
Please also be aware the Media Room will be out-of-bounds from 20 minutes before kick-off until half-time. All members of the media must vacate this room 20 minutes before kick-off.

3.3 Team sheets will be available from the Media Room around 45 minutes prior to kick off.

3.4 All journalists and broadcasters have been designated a specific seat in the press box or within Block O of the HomeServe Stand and as such any phone or ISDN point you have booked will be in easy reach. We would respectfully ask that you take your seat in the press box 20 minutes before kick-off to avoid any unnecessary congestion, and the extra time will enable you to check your telephony connections. Do not leave any equipment in public walkways near the press box. This is a trip hazard.
3.5 Wireless Internet access is available from the press box area. Simply activate your wireless connectivity on your laptop and log in to our secure servers – either ‘Walsall FC Media’ or ‘Press Box’– free of charge. Password information can be found in the Media Room.
Matchday – Half-Time:

4.1 At half-time a comprehensive round-up of the half-time scores can be heard on our Matchday PA System and you are welcome to return to the Media Room for refreshments.

Matchday – Post-Match:

5.1 At full time you should make your way back to the Media Room where both managers will attend an after-match press conference. We would ask that the media remain seated at all times.
The first press conference will be for the written media and microphones and Dictaphones should be placed on the table provided.

Radio and television interviews will be conducted in the tunnel area afterwards by managers and requested players.

Player requests must be made to the Media Officer of the respective club. Arrangements will then be made. Walsall players will attend post match press conferences at the First Team Manager’s discretion.

5.2 Access to the changing room area is strictly prohibited to all members of the press apart from the Media Officers of the two clubs.
