Latest update on the injured players...
SADDLERS' boss, Dean Smith, has given an update on the latest injury situation.Summer signing, Jordan Cook (ankle), is currently laid low, alongside last term's Player of the Season, Sam Mantom(knee), full-back Ben Purkiss (ankle) and emerging defender, Matt Preston (thigh).
"Jordan is back running again," he said. "That's good news for us; he's pushed on really quickly and, to be honest, Jon Whitney has had to pull him back a little bit. But the lad has a great mentality and we're hopeful that he will be back soon.
"Sam had an injection on Tuesday and the hope is that he will be back in full training during the course of next week, whilst Ben was able to return to training on Thursday, but obviously this weekend is too soon for him to be considered.
"Matt meanwhile is a couple of weeks away with a thigh problem that has blighted him for a few weeks now."
