Smith delighted with latest capture...

SADDLERS' boss, Dean Smith, has expressed his delight at securing the services of French striker, Mathieu Manset.

"I am delighted that we have managed to agree a deal with Mathieu," he said. "We've been trying to sort something out since he came here on trial during the summer.

"We've kept in touch with him and his representatives and have managed to thrash a deal out. I must thank the Chairman for the support that he has given me to enable me to complete this deal and add Mathieu to the squad.

"He brings something that we need and gives us a competitive edge. He's strong, aggressive, scores goals and can bring others into play. He will be a real handful for any team in our League.

"I see him as a number nine and he will fit in to the way that we play here.

"He gives us a good option and I am pleased that we have finally been able to secure his services."

There will be interviews with Dean Smith and Mathieu Manset plus reaction to our game against Crystal Palace on Saddlers Player on Wednesday.
