WALSALL Football Club would like to place on record our sincerest thanks to CAT Communications for their support over the past decade that culminated in their shirt advertising from 2011 until the current campaign where they took pride of place on the front of shirt.Under the guidance of Craig Lang, CAT Communications has been one of the football club’s longest-serving and prestigious Commercial Partners.
CAT – which stands for Craig And Telephones – came from humble beginnings. Local lad, Craig, started the company after starting life as a Trainee Telecom Engineer for National Rail. Now, 25 years later, CAT Communications are an established and successful player in the Communication sector, working right throughout the UK and Europe.
Despite being based in Wiltshire, Craig has never forgotten his roots. The lifelong Walsall supporter has sponsored more games and been to more functions than he cares to remember. Now, after many years of commercial support, CAT and Walsall Football Club would like to announce that CAT will be drawing their advertising contract with the club to a close.
As a final farewell, CAT Communications are hosting a charity fixture here at Banks’s Stadium on Thursday, 22nd May – Mad Dogs versus Cool Cats.
The captain of the Mad Dogs team will be Chris 'Mad Dog' Marsh and this will be his retiring and final football match at the Banks’s Stadium. Chris will be lining up a team of Saddlers' Legends to take on a team of Walsall supporters.
