TEAM TALK v BRISTOL CITY, 12/4/14

11 April 2014

Boss looks ahead to the visit of Bristol City...

WE'RE all competitive and whilst the chance is still there for us to get that sixth spot, we will be doing all that we can to try and take it.

We want to win every game; there are 15 points to play for and we are aiming to get them all. We can only control what we do and will take things one game at a time.

It was frustrating at Port Vale in our last game. I didn't think it was a penalty at the time and nothing has changed my mind since.

We know that we didn't play as well as we can and whilst we maybe didn't deserve to win the game, we deserved to take something from it.

We've shown a lot of potential this season, but the statistics don't lie and they show that we've not scored enough goals. It is something that we are working on as we continually look to try and better ourselves.

On Saturday we take on a Bristol City side who had a slow start to the season but things have picked up for them over the second half of the campaign as they have dragged themselves away from danger.

We know that we were poor at their place on Boxing Day and so we are keen to make amends and get back into winning ways.

Bristol City are a big club in this League and will bring a large following which will help create a good atmosphere inside the stadium.

It's a game we have to win to keep ourselves in the hunt, whilst they need the points just to ensure that they are not dragged back into the battle at the bottom.

As such it promises to be a keenly-fought encounter, one that we are looking forward to with relish.
