Boss looking forward to being back on home soil...IT'S another tough fixture for us, but we go into it with a bit of form and plenty of belief following two excellent performances on the road at both Crewe and Wolves.
On each occasion we've looked solid in defence and this has given us a solid base on which we have been able to build. Being able to keep the nucleus of the side together from last season means that the players know each others' strengths and weaknesses and they are prepared to go that extra mile for each other.
The midfield three has certainly given us solidity and protected our back-line well. It is a system that we have played perfectly in our last two games on the road, but whether it is the right system to play at home is a decision that will have to be made.
This next challenge sees us take on a team that are undefeated in their opening seven League games. They have built on the momentum of last season and we know that we face a tough battle ahead where we have to roll our sleeves up and work hard.
If we keep putting in the performances, the results will follow and it will be nice to get back into winning ways on home soil.
I must say that our support has been fantastic. Our travelling contingent really made themselves heard at Molineux and got behind the lads from start to finish.
If they see the lads out there working hard and being committed to the cause, they will give them their backing and so it has proved.
Saturday's game has been designated as a Family Fun Day and with a special ticket offer in place, I hope to see a good-size crowd giving the lads the backing that they deserve and creating a winning atmosphere within the stadium.
