Full-back looks back at Crewe and ahead to Wolves...

-
ANDY Taylor is back in action and played his part in Saturday's excellent 3-0 victory at Crewe Alexandra.

"The most pleasing thing for me was that defensively we were solid and limited them to very few chances," he said. "To come away and do that, it gives you a base on which to build and the chance to nick a goal.

"We were comfortable defensively and even though we weren't at our best in the first half, we were organised and in control and our patience was rewarded in the second half.

"Once the first goal came, there was only going to be one team who would win it and it was convincing in the end.

"Three goals, three points and a clean sheet, you can't ask for any more than that. We've got that belief in what we are doing and as a back four we are always talking to each other and that gives the team a good foundation.

"I'm glad to be back out there again. We've got another big game coming up on Tuesday at Wolves and these are the type of matches that you want to be involved in.

"Having played them a couple of weeks ago, we know that we have nothing to fear. We go there with confidence high and will enjoy it.

"With it being a local derby it gives it that extra edge, but it's still three points that are up for grabs and we will be as determined as ever to get them.

"We'll go there and give it our best and see where it takes us. We know that we will have a large and vocal backing on the night and we want to put on another performance for the fans, who were excellent again on Saturday.

"As I say, we believe in what we are doing; there's a real spirit and togetherness here and there's healthy competition with everyone pushing each other."
