FULL STEAM AHEAD FOR WESTCARR

Front-man on brace at Crewe...

CRAIG Westcarr bagged his second brace of the season at Crewe on Saturday to give us our first win in over 13 years at Gresty Road.

"I was delighted to get back on the scoresheet, but the main thing was that we returned to winning ways," he said. "We saw a lot of the ball during the first half without really hurting them enough.

"The Gaffer told us to be more aggressive in the final third at half-time and after the break we were able to press them more to get our reward.

"We changed our system for this game and worked hard on our game-plan in the build-up. Everyone looked comfortable in their roles and we fully deserved the win.

"It was a case of being patient in the first half and then seeing our job through. Hopefully we can continue this on Tuesday at Wolves.

"We went there recently and did well, so it's one that we are looking forward to. It's a local derby and anything can happen; there will be a big crowd and we'll have a large and vocal following behind us.

"These are the type of games that you want to be involved in. As a team we go into every game with confidence believing that we can win and we know that last time we could have nicked it at the end.

"Wolves are a quality side, who will be up there challenging this season, but we're relishing the challenge.

"It would be nice if I could add to my tally, but as long as the team are playing well and I am making a contribution, that's the main thing."

Tonight's game at Molineux is an all-ticket affair with tickets on sale from the Banks's Stadium Ticket Office up until midday today...
