Bakayoko hat-trick as Saddlers run out worthy winners...

THE SADDLERS' youth team put in another impressive display on our way to a 3-0 victory over Carlisle United.

"After an outstanding performance in our last game, it was always going to be a big challenge to replicate that standard," admitted Academy Manager, Neil Woods. "If anything, our display in the opening 45 minutes of this game was even better.

"Our control of the game was excellent and we were very good both with and without the ball.

"We went in at the break three goals to the good thanks to a hat-trick from Amadou Bakayoko. All three were team goals, which was most pleasing, whilst at the other end, we limited a decent Carlisle outfit to very few chances.

"I was pleased with our control of the game; it's fair to say that we didn't reach the same standards after the break but nevertheless we managed the game well.

"Coming back out after half-time with such a commanding lead isn't always easy, but we looked the most likely side.

"I was delighted with our attitude, strength and technical ability."
