SMITH ON SKY BLUES SET-BACK

26 October 2013

Boss reflects...

SADDLERS' boss, Dean Smith, has reflected upon our home defeat at the hands of Coventry  City.

"I felt that we deserved something from the game," he admitted. "They started well and we had to get to grips with it, but I feel that we managed to do that and went on to control the game ourselves for good spells.

"It was a poor goal to give away and we're disappointed with the result but not the performance.

"Unfortunately we couldn't turn our possession into as many chances as we would have liked, but credit has to go to Coventry for that. They were well-drilled and worked their socks off for each other.

"I've watched them a few times this season and know what a good side they are. It was always going to be a tough one for us, but in the end I felt that we deserved a point from it.

"We're not too down, though. We'll pick ourselves up and be ready to go again next week."
