THIS season marks 20 years of campaigning by Kick It Out.For the past two decades, Kick It Out has contributed to making football a safer, more enjoyable and less intimidating place for those from under-represented communities wishing to participate in the game in whatever capacity, at whatever level.
To celebrate their 20th Anniversary, the traditional weeks of action, which usually take place around this time of the year, have been replaced with a special Season of Action, which commenced in August and runs through to May.
To that end, a season’s worth of events will take place to acknowledge the wealth of groups and individuals supporting this work in their own communities over the past two decades.
Events will be announced periodically, which will not only provide an opportunity to look at the origins of the campaign, but also see some new and exciting initiatives being launched, helping Kick It Out further its work well into the next 20 years and beyond.
For professional clubs, community groups and County FAs, it provides a broader opportunity to dedicate their commitment to Kick It Out, and equality and inclusion, over a longer period of time.
Nominated events, projects and activities, which ordinarily take place in October, can now run at a time throughout the season to fall in line with the extended period of activities.
