Sawyers stars in excellent victory...

ROMAINE Sawyers played a key role in our excellent 2-0 victory over Peterborough United as he set up our first goal and scored the second to seal a deserved three points.

"We said in the build-up to the game that we don't fear anyone and we certainly proved it with our performance," he said. "We stuck to our game plan with everyone doing their jobs.

"As a team we were organised and went forward very well. We scored two good goals and created plenty of chances.

"It's always nice to be involved in goals, be it scoring or setting them up. For my goal, I knew what I was going to do before I received the ball and this gave me the edge over the defender. I was happy with my first touch and it was nice to see the ball hit the back of the net.

"Against strong opposition we have done well and put a good picture in the minds of the people watching on television.

"There is plenty of belief amongst the lads and we are answering all of the questions that we are being asked. We just can't wait for the matches to come around and now we look forward to two consecutive away trips, starting at Crawley on Saturday."
