BUSINESS AS USUAL FOR O'KELLY

16 November 2013

First-team coach sees positive future...

IT’S BUSINESS as usual for first-team coach, Richard O’Kelly, after he signed a contract extension until the end of the 2015/16 season.

“The length of contract doesn’t particularly concern me,” he admitted. “It’s about continuing the job that we have started here and ensuring that the club keeps progressing and developing in the right way.

“There is tremendous support from underneath with the youth department, through to the first-team and up to the Chairman, who fully understands what is required and has invested into the facilities and infrastructure in order to give the club a solid foundation on which we can build.

“The work ethic that exists here, not just amongst the playing staff but also the staff at the training ground and main stadium, is fantastic and truly inspirational.

“Things are done in the right way; we have created a very positive and progressive environment which transfers itself to the players on the pitch and allows them to develop and grow as footballers.

“I have to say that the first-year professionals that we have here are the best crop I have come across in terms of their potential for development.

“There are plenty of reasons for us to look forward to what the future holds in store with confidence. As I say, the work ethic, attitude and ability that exists within this football club is fantastic and I am delighted to be part of it.”
