Goals in mind for Grigg...

HAVING notched five goals last week to help us secure maximum points against Carlisle United and Shrewsbury Town, it is understandable that Will Grigg is feeling on top of the World.

"We're playing some really good stuff right now," he said. "As a team we are creating plenty of chances and it is nice that they are flying in for me at the moment.

"We've hit some good form, but it's been coming for a while, to be honest."

The Northern Ireland International is now closing in on 20 goals for the season. "I've given myself a great chance of reaching that figure," he added. "The goals have come around pretty quickly, so my target is constantly changing, but I just have to take one game at a time and not get too far ahead of myself.

"As I say, this team will always create opportunities and hopefully I can continue to take them."

Amidst Grigg's brace at the weekend, Craig Westcarr also broke his scoring duck. "It was good to see Craig get off the mark," Grigg continued. "He puts in a great shift  for the team and adds a different dimension to our attacking play.

"He fully deserved his goal on Saturday and I am sure that more will follow for him now."
