SMITH ON ROBINS DRAW

9 March 2013

Boss reflects on the action...

SADDLERS' boss, Dean Smith has reflected upon our 2-2 draw at promotion-chasing Swindon Town.

"We were the better team in the first half and they had the edge after the break," he said. "That said, I thought that we started the second half well but dropped deeper as game went on.

"The goals that we conceded were unfortunate but we scored a couple of decent goals ourselves.

"It's a hard-earned point to come here against a good side who are third in the table. The lads are a credit to the club; they have come back twice against a side going for promotion and have really showed what they are made of.

"It shows how far we have come that we left here disappointed not to get all three points. We'll take this into Tuesday's game now. The players are giving me everything and I expect them to continue to do so."
