Featherstone signs up until the end of next season...

THE SADDLERS have secured the services of another key member of the squad with midfield man, Nicky Featherstone today putting pen-to-paper on a deal until the end of next season.

The 24 year-old has been a steady and reliable figure in the engine room of the side and has displayed a tremendous work ethic.

Joining the club on the eve of the season from Hereford United, he learned his trade at Hull City where he progressed through the ranks to the first-team having been with The Tigers since the age of eight.

“Nicky has performed really well for us this season,” said manager, Dean Smith. “He has showed what ability he has and I am delighted that he has agreed to sign this new deal.

“He has a great attitude; he wants to get better and has a real hunger for the game.

“I am pleased with the progress he is making here and this is another piece of the jigsaw in place.”
