On-loan 'keeper heads back to Molineux as replacement lined up...

ON-LOAN goalkeeper, Aaron McCarey, has been recalled by Wolves.

The Republic of Ireland Under-21 International returns to Molineux following an injury to Carl Ikeme at the weekend.

His latest loan spell here at Banks’s Stadium has seen him put in a string of solid displays and he leaves us with our thanks and best wishes for the future.

“It’s unfortunate that Aaron has been recalled because he has done a tremendous job for us,” said Saddlers’ boss, Dean Smith. “He settled quickly back into the side and has played his part in the run that we are on.

“It’s one of those things that happens in football and we thank him for his efforts here.

“We found out on Saturday evening that it was likely that Aaron would be recalled, so we have spent the past 48 hours in discussions with various clubs and we will complete the signing of a new on-loan goalkeeper on Wednesday.”

Details of the new arrival will appear here on on Wednesday...
