Goalkeeper leaves the club by mutual consent...WALSALL Football Club can confirm that goalkeeper, David Grof, has left the club by mutual consent.
The 23 year-old, who signed a one-year deal in June 2012, has left the Banks’s Stadium to pursue a career in France, where he will begin a trial with a Ligue 2 side today.
“David began the season as number one,” said manager, Dean Smith. “A loss of form and confidence saw him lose his place in the team. Hopefully, a fresh start in a different country will give him an opportunity to address his issues both on and off-the-field.
“We wish him well and hope he takes the opportunity presented to him.”
