New One-Year Deal for Purkiss...
Walsall Football Club are pleased to announce that Ben Purkiss has agreed a new one-year deal here at the Banks’s Stadium.
The reliable right-back arrived at WS1 last summer from Hereford United and amassed 30 appearances for The Saddlers, helping Dean Smith’s Men to a ninth place finish in League One.
“Ben did really well for us last season,” explained Saddlers’ manager, Dean Smith. “He’s a good character to have around the football club and I am looking forward to working with him during the 2013/14 campaign.”
“I’m really pleased to have signed a new deal,” added Purkiss. “I enjoy working with Dean (Smith) and Richard (O’Kelly). I’ve loved my time at the club so far and am looking forward to helping the team make further progress.”
