Big season for talented wide-man...

HAVING scooped the Young Player of the Season award for the second year in succession at the end of last term, the highly-rated Jamie Paterson is looking forward to another season of progression both for himself and the club.

"This is a big season for us," said the talented wide-man. "We did well last year, particularly in the second half of the season, and now we are looking to build on that.

"With it being the club's 125th Anniversary, it would be a great year in which to do it and really push on.

"There are some good local derbies for us to look forward to. The more of these type of games, the better because I know that as a team we will rise to the occasion.

"The fans are realistic here, but at the same time we know that if we play like we did last season we will be there or thereabouts.

"We won't put any additional pressure on ourselves; we'll just go out there and do the right things then see where it takes us."
