THE CURTAIN came down on Mick Kearns’ full-time role at the club on Thursday.“I am very grateful for all the messages of goodwill that I have received,” said The Saddlers’ legend. “There have been cards, letters and some really touching messages online and via social media.
“I can’t thank people enough for the kindness they have shown to me.
“Although I am retiring from my full-time involvement, I’m really looking forward to starting my new roles as Matchday Host and Club Ambassador.
“The club means so much to me and has been a massive part of my life for such a long time that I could never cut ties completely.”
