TAYLOR EXTENDS LOAN DEAL

4 January 2013

Youngster benefiting from regular action...

CONNOR Taylor has had his youth loan at Nuneaton Town extended until the end of the season.

The summer signing from Aston Villa has benefited greatly from regular competitive action in the Blue Square Premier as he looks to force his way into Dean Smith's plans for next season.

"I feel that this is a better way for me to progress," he said. "The Blue Square Premier is only two levels below us and with Nuneaton battling it out near the bottom, there is something on every game.

"I'd rather be playing in a good standard of competitive football each week than having the occasional reserve team game here. Also, the Gaffer has come to watch me when he can and gives feedback, so that will certainly benefit me with a view to next season.

"I've been used mainly on the right wing at Nuneaton, which I believe is the position where Walsall see me, so it has given me good experience of that role.

"My performances have been generally good; my arrival has coincided with a decent run of form for the club, so hopefully that will continue and, from a personal point of view, my development can carry on."
