Saddlers re-sign highly-rated 'keeper...
HIGHLY-rated goalkeeper, Karl Darlow has returned to The Saddlers on loan from Nottingham Forest.
The 22 year-old had an eight-game loan spell here at Banks's Stadium earlier in the season where he put in some impressive displays before being recalled to the City Ground.
Spending his formative years with Aston Villa, he then joined the Nottingham Forest Academy at the age of 16 and has progressed well since then to make a couple of first-team outings for the East Midlands club.
Last term he was loaned out to Newport County, where he gained much-needed competitive first-team action and impressed many with some assured displays that belied his tender years.
"Karl did really well during his first spell with the club," said manager, Dean Smith. "It was unfortunate when Nottingham Forest had to recall him shortly after he had signed an extension to his deal here.
"We are grateful to Forest for allowing him to come back here to continue his footballing development and he will be a good acquisition to our squad."
Darlow will wear squad number 28 and arrives on an initial month with a view to extending the deal for the rest of the season.
